Gus had a "sleep-over" with us on Sunday night. I think it's very special to have time with each of the grandchildren alone. I know we will continue to do that with each of them as the years go by. I find it's a way to get to know them better as their own little person. Gus, who adores his big brother, finds ways to shine without following along with what Carl does, when he's here alone. He has so many things to say and tell us. We were going to have dinner out on the deck....and Gus said he would pray, but not Carl's prayer. I asked which one he'd say, and he burst into our family's favorite, "Johnny Appleseed." Of course, I didn't really have the camera there for this video, but he was happy to oblige and do it again when I brought it out later. Oh--the Lord is truely good to ME!!!

Monkey Logan...or there's only one way...UP!
He's very happy when he's going up, up, up!! Infact, he's happiest when he's climbing!
He climbed the woodpile that has the canoe on top....both from the front of it and the back!! At one point he kept saying "shoe, shoe!" and I realized his shoe had gotten caught and come off!
And I found him on Poppa's extension ladder....
So I finally found the small step ladder...
and he happily climbed up and over and down many times!! Yeah Logan!!!

A Bottom Sucker named "Algie"
We got some "just Carl" time playing with legos, bringing some things to the storage unit, going to Culver's for supper, and a quick errand toMenards. It's so much fun to spend individual time with each of the kids!

Friday Playpark Playdate
The weather was "on-again-off-again" with dark clouds, sprinkles and sun. But it was windy, windy, windy!
I had mini-muffins made for snack, and Jenn brought the juice boxes! Great treats!
The small pebbles worked better than sand, and kept these three boys busy for a very long time!
Louise and Grandma explored the tubes!
"Spider Swinging"--Count the appendages...yup! 8 of 'em!
Carl created a tee-pee mansion structure...and decided he needed to bring home the sticks to work on it in his own yard. (Is is against the law to bring home sticks?)
Louise and Poppa enjoy a mini-muffin and a cuddle.
It was a great morning for all of us. A good chance to play together, to just hang out....and get tired for naptime!!
